Liverpool and Manchester City eye Mohammed Kudus as West Ham United news emerges
Liverpool, Manchester City, Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli are keen on signing West Ham attacker Mohammed Kudus this summer, according to Caught Offside.
The news outlet reported on 28 June that the four clubs, all of whom are backed by wealthy owners, are keeping tabs on the Ghana international’s situation over the coming weeks.
Sources claim that bids for the 23-year-old are expected to be under £85million.
West Ham may struggle to retain Mohammed Kudus’ services
The Hammers could face a significant challenge in retaining Kudus’ services if the reported interest from Liverpool, Manchester City, Al-Nassr, and Al-Ahl leads to concrete bids.
The financial power of these clubs could make it difficult for the Irons to compete in terms of transfer fees and wages.
Kudus, who has impressed since moving to the London Stadium, has a release clause, which could be a deterrent for some clubs.
If the aforementioned clubs initiate contact with Kudus’ representatives, the player’s head could be turned by the prospect of playing for a more financially dominant club or in a different league.

The London club would need to convince the 23-year-old of their project and ambition to retain his services, as well as potentially offer a new contract with improved terms to ward off potential suitors.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to secure the transfer of a player who’s set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this month.
