Leicester teen Gio Loureiro joins West Ham on trial
Leicester City teenager Gio Loureiro has joined West Ham on trial ahead of next season, according to ExWHUemployee.
Writing on Patreon, the reliable Irons source reported that the 15-year-old has headed to East London in a bid to earn himself a contract with the Hammers.
Ex reports that Loureiro is a Portuguese attacking midfielder.

Good luck to him
It’s the time of year where young players all over the world see their contracts end and they enter a desperate fight to find a new club in order to keep their career alive.
Loureiro is very difficult to find out information on due to his tender age and the fact he’s yet to play at Under-18s level at Leicester.
However, based on the strength of the Leicester academy, it’d be safe for us to assume that the teenager is a good talent he could be of use to West Ham in the future.
In recent years, Leicester have produced the likes of Ben Chilwell, Hamza Choudhury and Harvey Barnes.
All of them have gone on to do well in the Premier League while one of them is currently with the England squad at the European Championships after winning the Champions League with Chelsea.
Of course, only a very small percentage of players go on to achieve what Chilwell has but it at least shows Leicester have the facilities and the staff to produce fine talent.
West Ham also have that but when talent becomes available elsewhere, we shouldn’t turn our noses up at it just because we have such a good academy.
If we did that, we wouldn’t have Declan Rice, who swapped Chelsea for West Ham in 2014 when he was 14-years-old.
In other West Ham news, another trialist has been welcomed to the Irons after he was released by a title-winning club.
