Kurt Zouma wants to sign for West Ham over Tottenham with fee agreed
Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma wants to join West Ham this summer and not Tottenham, according to the Daily Mirror.
The newspaper reports via their print edition on August 24 [page 48] that while Zouma, 26, is open to joining the Hammers, he could price himself out a move to the London Stadium.
It is understood that the French centre-back wants a deal worth £125,000-a-week, which would make him the highest-earning player in David Moyes’ squad.

The Mirror adds that the defender’s wage demands could be a “stumbling block” as a £26million fee has already been agreed between league leaders West Ham and second-placed Chelsea.
What’s he playing at?
Zouma may not have realised this yet but it does not look as though he’s a part of Thomas Tuchel’s immediate first-team plans at Stamford Bridge.
The ex-Everton loanee has been an unused substitute for the first two Premier League matches of the season so if he wants to leave Chelsea, he needs to drop his demands.
We could see this one go down to the wire because neither West Ham and Zouma will want to budge on their stances.
And we feel it should be the player who backs down.
Does he want to spend the entire season sat on the fringes of the Chelsea squad? Or does he want to move to the London Stadium, make himself a regular starter and play continental football in the Europa League?
Also, it may be worth pointing out that we’re top of the table right now – above Chelsea.
Yes, it’s early days and we’re only saying that as a joke but it’s clear that Moyes’ team are on the up.
Zouma is 26-years-old and could spend the best days of his career at the London Stadium.
Or he could spend them wasting away at Chelsea.
It’s up to him but we really don’t think it’s reasonable for Zouma to expect himself to be the highest-earning player at West Ham.
