‘Kudus millions to pay off instantly’ as West Ham in for Cole Palmer 2.0
Mohammed Kudus has completed an exit from West Ham after signing for London rivals Tottenham.
The Ghanaian’s move was confirmed on Thursday (10 July), after he put pen to paper on a six-year deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a deal worth around £55million.
West Ham were reluctant to let Kudus go, but will hope the profit on the £38m they paid to Ajax two years ago can go some way to improving the squad this summer.
Graham Potter is hoping for a rebuild at the London Stadium, after West Ham slumped to 14th place in the Premier League last season.

West Ham register interest in Man City ace McAtee
West Ham will now look to replace Kudus by using the money from his sale to bring in some attacking quality.
Appearing in midfield and on the wing, the 24-year-old was often who Potter turned to when looking for a game-changing moment of brilliance.
It will not be easy to replace that, but West Ham appear to have identified a midfielder who could provide a similar impact.
According to Ben Jacobs via X (July 11), the East London club are interested in Manchester City star James McAtee.

Nottingham Forest are also among the sides considering a move, with clubs in Germany also showing their interest in the midfielder.
McAtee spent last season with Man City following previous loans, and made most of his appearances in Pep Guardiola’s team towards the end of the season, scoring seven goals.
According to Jacobs, the Citizens value the attacking midfielder in a similar bracket to Cole Palmer, who left for Chelsea in 2023 in a deal worth around £40m.
McAtee’s best football of the season arguably came at the Under-21 Euros, at which he registered three direct goal contributions as England captain, ultimately lifting the trophy after assisting in the final against Germany.
McAtee would be ideal West Ham target
McAtee is the type of player West Ham should be looking to target this summer.
Young, talented and hungry for progression in his career, the 22-year-old would likely relish the increased responsibility under Potter.
However, West Ham should be wary of parting way with significant funds for a player who is yet to prove a consistency within the Premier League.
