Kriss Akabusi makes West Ham United transfer plea, names player they must sign
Kriss Akabusi has urged West Ham United to sign Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski.
Miovski has drawn interest from LaLiga’s Espanyol, who have submitted a £3million bid, but the Dons are holding out for around £6.5m [Press & Journal, 30 July].
Olympic great Akabusi, as quoted by the Press & Journal [31 July], believes Miovski could be a bargain, especially compared to Aston Villa’s £40million price tag for Jhon Duran.
He also insisted that the Hammers should act quickly to secure the striker before other clubs snap him up.
Akabusi said: “West Ham are certainly looking for a striker. If Aberdeen are looking for £6.5million or £7million, then I would be asking what’s wrong with him if he only costs that amount.
“I know £10million wouldn’t be a lot of money in English football. If he is half-decent West Ham better get on the blower – especially if half of Europe is after him! We definitely need a striker.
“We have a problem with Jhon Duran – Aston Villa want £40m for him and we have offered £35m. Miovski could be a massive bargain in comparison.”
Bojan Miovski could be a good cheap alternative
West Ham could strike gold by signing Bojan Miovski for around £7million. The North Macedonia international has been making waves with Aberdeen, and though Espanyol’s £3million bid was turned down, the Dons look willing to let him go for a bit more.
Given the current market, where clubs like Aston Villa are asking £40 million for Jhon Duran, Miovski could be a real bargain.
The 25-year-old was one of the best striker in Scottish football last season when scoring 16 goals and assisted two more in 16 appearances for Aberdeen.
For a club needing a striker, Miovski offers great value. He’s proven himself in Scotland, and for a fraction of the price of other targets, he could bring much-needed firepower to the London Stadium.

It’s a low-risk, high-reward move that could pay off big time. In today’s crazy transfer market, Miovski could be the smart choice for West Ham to make
