Keenan Appiah-Forson agrees terms for West Ham United exit on loan

West Ham have sanctioned the departure of Keenan Appiah-Forson as he has signed for Dagenham & Redbridge on loan.

The National League side announced on their website on 3 September that the 21-year-old has joined the club on a season-long loan deal.

The midfielder will be hoping the temporary switch provides him with some more first-team exposure after his opportunities have so far been limited at the London Stadium.

Much-needed minutes

The move to Dagenham will hand Appiah-Forson an excellent opportunity to go out on loan and learn what first-team football is all about.

The East London club has always been a good landing spot for West Ham youngsters due to the close proximity to the London Stadium and the increased playing time they are often afforded.

After coming through the Hammers’ ranks, the midfielder made his first-team debut in December 2021 when he came on as a late substitute in the 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League.

He hasn’t featured since then, but he will hoping to impress during his time with the Daggers as his contract is due to run out at the end of the season.

The youngster will be familiar with Victoria Road because some of the Irons’ U-21s matches are played there and he featured in the friendly against Dagenham in July.

In other West Ham news, Gary Lineker shared his verdict on the club’s impressive start to the season.
