Kaveh Solhekol shares what stunned insider says about West Ham United and Arsenal transfer saga for Declan Rice
A deal for Declan Rice has still yet to be confirmed by either West Ham or Arsenal as the transfer saga drags on.
It has been 11 days since Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported via Twitter (4 July) a deal was in place for Rice to make the switch to The Emirates.
However, there has still been no confirmation and Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has revealed what one stunned insider has told him.

“I’ve never seen anything like this saga before,” the insider shared with Solhekol (Football Daily, 14 July).
“But our feeling is the deal will still be completed.”
Ridiculous
This must go down as one of the longest transfer sagas in the history of Premier League football. Despite a deal reportedly being reached days ago, the relative paperwork has still not been signed.
West Ham fans will be sick and tired of the Rice discussions and the club will be growing impatient also. The longer it takes to receive the funds from Arsenal, the more of a delay there will be on transfer activity of their own.
David Sullivan and the board will want the Rice money first before they begin to make any signings.

Rice is going to leave and the Hammers now need to replace the massive hole he leaves behind. The longer it takes the Gunners to get the paperwork across, the more difficult it will be for West Ham to get a deal for a replacement across the line.
Hopefully, the saga comes to an end soon so everyone involved can move on and West Ham can look forward.
