Kalvin Phillips completes West Ham United medical as Sky Sports share transfer news

Kalvin Phillips has completed his medical at the London Stadium ahead of a January loan move to West Ham from Manchester City, according to Sky Sports.

The sports news outlet shared via their X account on 25 January that the deal to sign the England international is now getting closer to being confirmed.

Phillips could be the first of several arrivals in East London as we head towards the closing stages of the transfer window, with the Hammers looking at a busy end to the month.

Hopefully the first of many

The news that Phillips has now completed his medical ahead of the proposed loan move will be music to the ears of West Ham fans, with any potential late concerns now put aside and the final stages of the deal set to be completed in the next few hours.

There will also be hope that this deal isn’t the last to come through the doors at the London Stadium before the transfer deadline on 31 January with the club looking to get more business over the line.

The likes of Newcastle striker Callum Wilson and FC Nordsjarlland winger Ibrahim Osman have been linked with late moves to West Ham, and it looks like being a busy end to the window in East London.

David Moyes and Tim Steidten are keen to strengthen their squad in a push to secure more silverware this season, having topped their Europa League group and currently sitting sixth in the Premier League with a strong finish in mind.

In other West Ham news, whispers have emerged about a possible £18million deal.
