Juventus makes Matias Soule transfer threat as West Ham United ready to table bid

Juventus are threatening to include West Ham-linked Matias Soule in their Next Gen squad if he does not complete a move to the Premier League, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Italian source reported [24 July] that the Bianconeri believe a Premier League move would be the most financially advantageous, with the Hammers and Leicester City ready to put figures on the table.

It is understood that Roma, who are also interested in the Argentine [Gazzetta dello Sport], think £23.5million with add-ons is a fair offer while Juventus want upwards of £29.4million this summer.

A bid of £25.2million would help begin negotiations, though Roma do not look to be budging on their estimates of the 21-year-old forward.

West Ham United ready to table Matias Soule bid as Juventus make Next Gen threat

Having experienced such a positive loan spell with Frosinone last term, scoring 11 Serie A goals despite the side being relegated, Soule will want no part in Juventus’ youth team.

The forward, who can play anywhere across the front line, already looks to be a very mature attacker, who also notched three assists during his time at Stadio Benito Stirpe.

From the latest update, it seems that the Serie A giants are very keen to offload the Argentine, and with the price tags currently floating about, it is not difficult to see why.

Thiago Motta’s attacking arsenal is already rather stacked, with Kenan Yildiz, Federico Chiesa, Dusan Vlahovic, and Timothy Weah all available, with Arkadiusz Milik still yet to return from injury.

The Hammers will now be watching with interest to see how the situation plays out because Soule, who seemingly wants the Roma move, might have a big decision to make given Juventus’ stance.

At the same time, Juve might soften their stance because the won’t want to risk not making the sale at all. This is becoming a really intriguing transfer saga, one the Hammers will hope to benefit from.
