Journalist reveals Aaron Cresswell hasn’t been training amid West Ham United exit talk
Aaron Cresswell hasn’t been training for West Ham as he looks to secure a move away from the club, according to Ryan Taylor.
The Daily Express journalist told GiveMeSport that the Hammers had rejected a bid worth £2.5million from Wolves for the experienced left-back.
He expressed doubts over whether the Irons’ Premier League rivals would be able to afford a deal to land the 33-year-old as the East Londoners are looking for a fee in the region of £5million to allow him to leave.

“I don’t know if it will happen, to be honest, because it looks like Rayan Ait-Nouri is going to stay at Wolves,” said Taylor. “He was in talks with Nice over a loan move. Wolves actually made a bid for Cresswell worth about £2.5million, but West Ham wanted £5million.
“It is true that he hasn’t been training, I’ve checked that. I don’t know if he is back in training now because this was about 10 days ago that he wanted to force through that move, but it’s gone very quiet now.
“I’ve actually seen that Forest might have a look at Cresswell as well, which is interesting. I think they need a little bit of cover and competition at left-back. He’s only got one year left on his deal, which was just activated recently.”
Disappointing
This is an extremely sad way for Cresswell’s career at West Ham to be coming to an end and it’s disappointing to hear that he hasn’t been training with the rest of the squad.
While the Hammers have given a lot to him since he signed from Ipswich Town in 2014, with him earning international recognition a few years back for England, he has also been a major contributor to some of the club’s biggest successes during his time in East London.
It appears as though the left-back really wants to move on and that could be down to his game time being slightly reduced as well as him being overlooked for the Europa Conference League final victory over Fiorentina.

It seems as though he isn’t in David Moyes’ plans for the season after he wasn’t in the squad against Bournemouth and because the club have been looking to bring in a new left-back during the transfer window.
It would be good to resolve the situation as quickly as possible to ensure there isn’t any further damage done to harm the club and Cresswell’s relationship.
