Jorgen Strand Larsen set for quick exit as West Ham United line up transfer
West Ham United are set to face competition from Wolves and Aston Villa to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Celta Vigo, according to Faro De Vigo.
The newspaper has reported (28 June, page 42) that the possibility of him leaving the La Liga side is “faster than expected”.
There is said to be interest from the Premier League while “several teams” from Italy have also shown an interest.
Wolves are currently said to be leading the race.
West Ham interested in Strand Larsen
The Hammers have needed a striker for many years but have failed to find someone who is a perfect fit under David Moyes.
Michail Antonio has proved to be one of the most consistent forwards at the club although he is only getting older as the seasons go.
With Danny Ings also set to depart this summer with Southampton interested, a new striker option is necessary for Julen Lopetegui.
Strand Larsen has performed well in La Liga for Celta Vigo and is of interest to plenty of teams across Europe this summer.
At 24 years old he has plenty of room to improve in England although it remains how much the Spanish club could demand in transfer fee.

If a deal can be struck that benefits all parties then a deal could make sense for Lopetegui’s side who need that number nine figure.
Players like Tammy Abraham have also been linked so that type of player is wanted this summer.
In other West Ham news, Michail Antonio is set for a sensational Hammers exit with a new transfer lined up.
