Jean-Clair Todibo twist emerges as West Ham ready sale after talks – Di Marzio
West Ham United are considering letting Jean-Clair Todibo go, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Sky Italia journalist reported via his website on Thursday (23 January) that Juventus have rekindled their interest in the centre-back after missing out on him in the summer.
Both clubs are already discussing a formula for the transfer, with the Bianconeri keen to take the France international on loan with an option to buy.
The Irons, meanwhile, hope that the Serie A giants will buy Todibo following a loan after they go forward with their obligation to sign him permanently from OGC Nice.
Graham Potter to let Jean-Clair Todibo go from West Ham United
Graham Potter, who prefers to play with a three-man defence, is not spoilt for options at the back, with Max Kilman, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Todibo the only senior centre-backs.
Therefore, it would be a huge risk to sanction a transfer for Todibo without bringing a replacement in during the ongoing winter transfer window.
It has been known for a while that Potter is keen to add a defender to his ranks, along with a deep-lying midfielder and striker, before the window closes on 3 February [The Guardian].
It remains to be seen if the Hammers will target another central defender if Todibo departs this window.

The Frenchman only joined the East London outfit on a season-long loan from Nice in the summer, but could already be on his way out.

In other West Ham news, the Irons have made a move to sign this international striker who has scored 15 goals in 18 games this season.
