Jean-Clair Todibo responds to West Ham United offer as Juventus transfer stance shared

Nice ace Jean Clair-Todibo has now rejected the offer put on the table by West Ham United, according to Sky Italy.

The outlet reported on 24 July that, despite the Hammers’ interest, Todibo only has his eyes set on a move to the Italian giants.

Although a deal is yet to be struck between Nice and Juventus, Thiago Motta’s side are not yet backing down in their pursuit of the defender.

West Ham United must now turn their attention elsewhere after Jean Clair-Todibo news

Julen Lopetegui’s side have already had quite the impact on the transfer market as they’ve managed to bring both Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme in in order to strengthen their team.

The Hammers have been interested in Todibo since Manchester United were told that they’d not be allowed to buy the Frenchman due to INEOS’ involvement at both clubs.

In fact, the Irons even had a bid accepted [Santi Aouna, 17 July] from the Ligue 1 side worth somewhere in the region of £30.2million.

Although a fee was agreed upon, unfortunately, a move never came to fruition due to Todibo’s reluctance to accept a move to West Ham.

It was even reported that following the Hammers’ addition of Max Kilman, Todibo found himself “nervous” [La Gazzetta dello Sport, 20 July] about a move to West Ham due to concerns over his play time.

West Ham will likely want to see the back of both Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd and, should this occur, defensive reinforcement will be required.

Hence why the need for the Hammers to turn their attention elsewhere this summer is vital.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers will need to act fast if they want to sign Reiss Nelson this summer.
