Jarrod Bowen prophecy could come true after Aston Villa latest
Jarrod Bowen could soon be on his way out of West Ham this summer.
It is a curious case for the skipper who knows that he is far too good to be playing in the Championship.
The issue is that the 29-year-old has strong family ties to the London Stadium and clearly loves the E20 club.
That makes his future difficult to predict after six years featuring in claret and blue.
With Mateus Fernandes already gone and Crysencio Summerville likely to follow him, questions about the Englishman's future are rife.
Andy Goldstein has suggested previously that a move to Aston Villa is on the table and it may be more likely at this stage.
What did Andy Goldstein say about Jarrod Bowen's West Ham exit?
There has been no shortage of transfer rumours swirling around East London this summer.
That was only intensified in late June when the talkSPORT host threw a cat amongst the pigeons.
West Ham Zone covered his quotes as he suggested Bowen would leave West Ham for Aston Villa this summer.
The quotes certainly took everyone by surprise as he was so certain of the move.
He said: "This will happen. I can't tell you my sources, but this will happen.
"Jarrod Bowen to Aston Villa, you heard it here first. I've heard, I can't tell you [from who]. It's definitely not from Danny Dyer or any connection there. Transfer, permanent."
This has since been downplayed by supporters in E20, but a move could soon materialise at Villa Park.
Aston Villa could step up Bowen transfer efforts
The Irons are yet to bring in any fresh faces in a frustrating start to the summer.
That can't be said about the Villans as they look set to bring in Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes and Pervis Estupinan in the coming days or weeks.
They aren't done there either as Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that a new winger is being targeted by Unai Emery and Co.
Morgan Rogers looks set to leave for a blockbuster fee as Arsenal prepare a bid.
Bowen could prove to be the go-to man in Villa's hunt for a new wide man after that Goldstein link.
