Jamie Vardy offers clarity on future after personal 'mega' agreement amid West Ham transfer chase
Jamie Vardy has held talks to join West Ham United on a free transfer.
The veteran striker is a free agent after leaving Serie A side Cremonese, where he scored seven goals in Italy's top flight last season.
He joined the Italian outfit after a 13-year journey with Leicester City, as he wrote his name into the history books for the Foxes.
Vardy is now 39, but still appears to have some miles left in the tank, and even scored 10 goals for Leicester in his final season at the King Power Stadium.
The Englishman is attracting interest from teams in England and elsewhere in Europe following his one-year stay with Cremonese.
But Vardy has now been quick to clear things up on his future after securing a new personal financial deal.

West Ham remain in the race to sign Vardy, who is attracting interest not just in Europe, but all over the globe.
There is interest in Brazil, the MLS and even the Premier League, with Sheffield Wednesday also keeping an eye on his situation.
However, the ex-England international is set to take his time and assess all options before deciding his next club.
But, as reported by The Sun on Thursday, his podcast "Jamie Vardy's Having A Party" has secured TV rights to the Bundesliga.
He has secured a "mega" TV deal with Samsung TV ahead of Gary Neville's podcast "The Overlap".
The rights mean will be able to live stream live games from Germany's top flight straight to his YouTube channel.
The Hammers will be hoping that this doesn't make him think twice about continuing to play, and they may not have to worry.
What Vardy has said about his future
Nuno Espirito Santo already has Joel Piroe and Taty Castellanos at his disposal, but there is no guarantee that the latter will remain in E20 beyond the transfer window's deadline.
There has been suggestions that Castellanos' agent could be trying to stir up speculation to land a new move for his client, which would mean the Irons would need to replace the Argentine.
Even if he were to leave so late in the window, Vardy can be signed without having to worry about a deadline, as he's now reacted to his new personal deal.
Vardy said: "I am excited to launch the podcast with one of the major players in the game, Banijay Entertainment.
"I am still an active player. But having an opportunity to chat football and have a banter off the pitch is something that I am really looking forward to."
With that said, West Ham will have to play the waiting game a little bit longer to see if the striker wants the move to the London Stadium.
