Ivan Toney transfer update shared at West Ham United as new striker targeted
West Ham United have not yet made an offer for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, according to Roshane Thomas.
Writing for The Athletic on Friday (July 12), the journalist claimed that with Julen Lopetegui at the helm, the club are eager to strengthen their striker options, especially after missing out on previous targets like Ollie Watkins.
Thomas also highlighted the importance of making the right moves, with Youssef En-Nesyri, Elye Wahi and Callum Wilson also touted as targets.
Despite ongoing efforts to improve their squad, including interest in Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, the Hammers have yet to approach Toney.
West Ham United on the hunt for a striker
West Ham are on the hunt for a new striker as they prepare for the upcoming season under Lopetegui. They’re looking for someone who can score consistently and make a real impact on the team.
Names like Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla, Elye Wahi from Lens in France, and Callum Wilson from Newcastle United are being talked about as possible targets.
Each of these players brings something different to the table: En-Nesyri with his experience in Spain, Wahi with his young talent, and Wilson with his proven ability in the Premier League.

Tim Steidten, who’s in charge of finding new players for the Hammers, has a big job ahead in picking the right striker.
Whoever they choose will need to fit well into Lopetegui’s plans and help take some of the pressure off the team’s goal-scoring duties.
In other West Ham news, one player has been tipped to be the new captain after Kurt Zouma news.
