Issa Diop West Ham United exit could open door for Dan-Axel Zagadou to arrive at London Stadium
Issa Diop has been linked with a move away from West Ham United this summer and that could open the door for Dan-Axel Zagadou’s arrival at the London Stadium.
According to The Sun (6 August), the Hammers are keeping tabs on the French afree agent as David Moyes looks to find cover for Nayef Aguerd in defence.
However, it is likely that the defender will only join the Irons if there is a defensive departure at the London Stadium in the coming weeks.

As per ExWHUemployee (3 August), Diop is keen on a move to London rivals Fulham as his West Ham career reaches its conclusion.
If the French defender leaves West Ham there is every chance that Zagadou could be Moyes’ next summer signing.
It’s essential that the West Ham boss finds an adequate replacement for Aguerd after his untimely preseason injury against Rangers.
The Moroccan defender was a crucial summer signing for Moyes and put in some good performances in preseason.
West Ham conceded far too many soft goals towards the end of the 2021/22 Premier League season as they narrowly missed out on the top four to Manchester United.

The Irons now head into the new campaign in a similar position defensively with a number of their options injured or certainly past their best years.
Zagadou is a proven defender in the Bundesliga and would be an astute signing for the Moyes to make as he looks to solidify his defence for the upcoming season.
Furthermore, the former Borussia Dortmund man wouldn’t use any of Moyes’ transfer kitty up with the West Ham manager looking to be astute in the summer window.
Another central midfielder and potentially an out-and-out left-back should be top of the Hammers’ list for the remainder of the summer.
