Isaac Allen agrees to quit West Ham to join London rivals
Isaac Allen has decided to leave West Ham United's Under-15 team.
The 15-year-old has been one of the most sought-after youngsters in English football recently.
Having received multiple call-ups to England's youth team, the Irons are set to lose a talented prospect.
The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have all been vying to sign Allen from London Stadium.
Considering the calibre of teams keeping an eye on the versatile left-footed defender, it looks like the East London outfit have lost an impressive starlet from their academy.
There has been significant interest in the young Englishman, who can play centrally and at full-back, and he's found a new home.
Isaac Allen transfer latest at West Ham
Allen has completed a move to Tottenham and will continue his development at Hotspur Way among other emerging talents.
The defender made a name for himself at Rush Green and has captained England at his age group.
According to The Talent Hunter on 19 August, Spurs beat Arsenal, Newcastle and multiple other top Premier League clubs to sign Allen.
The young prospect is the East London outfit's latest academy player to look for opportunities elsewhere, which certainly doesn't bode well for the club's future.
Why London Stadium faithful will be concerned after latest Isaac Allen news
George Earthy is set to end his 16-year spell at West Ham and permanently move to League One side Reading.
Freddie Potts also recently ended his time at the Hammers, making the switch to Club Brugge.
Instead of relying on talented academy prospects, Nuno Espirito Santo has decided to stick with some of the players from last season who didn't seem to care about the Irons' relegation.
It arguably would have been better for the Portuguese manager to trust the likes of Earthy and Potts to push the East London club back into the Premier League instead of counting on the likes of James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez.
Instead of building for the future, the Hammers seem willing to trade long-term stability for short-term success.
Allen must surely have seen the lack of opportunities for academy prospects in the Irons' first team and decided that Tottenham was the better place for him.
