Hamza Igamane transfer: Kyle Macaulay eyes West Ham United change
West Ham United have been linked with Rangers forward Hamza Igamane as Kyle Macaulay looks to make changes at the London Stadium.
The Hammers’ head of recruitment joined Graham Potter after David Sullivan sacked Julen Lopetegui.
Tim Steidten has also left the London Stadium after making some questionable decisions at the Irons in the summer transfer window.
Macaulay seems to have had a say in who the East London club sign and a subsequent decision on Igamane has now been made.
West Ham United make Hamza Igamane transfer decision
Igamane is one of the targets being considered by the Hammers ahead of the upcoming window, according to Hammers News.
The news outlet reports (18 February) that the Morocco national is one of the names being eyed from the Scottish Premiership, in addition to the interest in Daniel Cummings at the London Stadium.
Potter and Macaulay are looking to reduce the average age of the Irons’ squad and have Rangers’ 22-year-old forward on their radar.
It remains to be seen whether the Gers will sell Igamane to West Ham after only a year at Ibrox.

Hamza Igamane a gem in Scottish Premiership
The Moroccan ace has been one of the revelations in the Scottish Premiership this season, with 13 goals this season already, and it’s encouraging to see the Hammers make a move for potential future superstars.
With Niklas Fullkrug ending up being an underwhelming addition last summer, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him leave at the end of the season.
Potter has also been without Michail Antonio, while Danny Ings doesn’t seem to be favoured by the manager.
The Irons signed Evan Ferguson on loan from Brighton in the previous transfer window, but there’s no buy option included in the deal.
As things stand, the Ireland international will leave the East London club at the end of the season, leaving Potter with issues in the number nine position.
Igamane has proven his goalscoring ability in Scotland, but the Premier League is a different kettle of fish.
The 22-year-old won’t have it easy in the English top flight, but it seems like the Hammers are willing to take a gamble on him.
It’s only the striker’s first season in Scotland since his move from AS FAR in Morocco, but a move to the Irons wouldn’t be premature after what he has done on the European stage.
