Guido Rodriguez could leave West Ham United in January, new demands made
Guido Rodriguez could leave West Ham United already with a January exit possible, according to AS.
The news outlet reports [20 November] that the Hammers are open to letting the Argentina international leave in January, with a return to Real Betis mooted.
Rodriguez could be open to returning to the Benito Villamarín on loan or permanently, but West Ham would want a fee as well as his “Juicy” salary covered.
West Ham United need to be patient with Guido Rodriguez
Rodriguez evidently is a quality player, having won the World Cup with Argentina in 2022.
The midfielder also had a slow start to his career at Betis before becoming an influential player under Manuel Pellegrini.
Most of West Ham’s summer signings have underwhelmed this season, with Max Kilman the only player who has justified the money the club invested in him.
Jean Clair-Todibo is a France international but has looked out of place in the Premier League.
The same can be said about Carlos Soler, who has failed to make an impact since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain.
Niclas Fullkrug is another of Tim Steidten’s summer arrivals who has hardly featured for the Hammers due to fitness issues.

While the players’ displays haven’t helped Julen Lopetegui, the Spaniard has clearly been unable to get the best out of the squad at his disposal.
Every player the Irons invested in can’t be bad, and the fanbase must wait until Lopetegui’s inevitable departure to gauge the quality of the likes of Rodriguez before making any judgment on him.
In other West Ham news, Vladimir Coufal didn’t help his case with his performance for Czechia against Georgia.
