Graham Potter told to pay £20m for player he’d love to have at West Ham
Graham Potter is already making plans to add to his West Ham squad in the summer transfer window.
The Hammers have managed to steer clear of the relegation zone after consecutive victories over Arsenal and Leicester have them sitting 15th in the Premier League table.
Potter had to come in and make the most out of what Julen Lopetegui had left him in order to try and find a way out of the relegation battle for the Hammers.
And, now that he’s managed to do that, his attention will turn towards the summer with the former Brighton boss likely to be looking at players such as Tyler Dibling, who West Ham could bring in to bolster their ranks.

Potter and Kyle Macaulay ‘love’ Dibling
In a new report from Hammers News (4 March), the online outlet have reported that Southampton have set a price tag of at least £20million for the young Englishman.
While the centre of the park has been the Hammers’ main problem this season, the fact that Kyle Macaulay and Potter both “love” Dibling is certainly a cause for excitement.
The report does, however, add that they’re not the only Premier League club vying for his transfer as Tottenham are also in the running.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for the youngster since the start of the term and with the Saints’ demands now seemingly set as well as Potter’s fondness for the attacker outlined, it feels like it could be a match made in heaven.

Dibling could be the new Jarrod Bowen at West Ham
It goes without saying that Jarrod Bowen is West Ham’s best player.
Not only is the England international the club’s captain but he has also been on top form all season.
He’s still only 28-years-old so he still has plenty of time to ply his trade in the top flight but there will come a point when a replacement will need to be sourced.
And, on the face of it, it’s hard to see how there’s a much better candidate than Dibling.
Competition | Games | Goals | Assists |
Premier League | 23 | 2 | 0 |
FA Cup | 2 | 2 | 0 |
EFL Cup | 3 | 0 | 2 |
He’s been Southampton’s one shining light in their Premier League season and without him, they’d likely be much worse off.
If Potter and Macauley can somehow pull off the coup of the 19-year-old for a fee of around £20m, then it’s surely a no-brainer for all the involved parties.
Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store for the East London club but if Dibling chooses to make the switch to the London Stadium, it would certainly be a statement of intent from the Hammers.
