Gianluca Scamacca accepts Inter offer, agreement with West Ham United expected in days – Fabrizio Romano
West Ham are expected to reach an agreement with Inter Milan “in the next days” for Gianluca Scamacca, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Writing on his personal Twitter account (1 August), the transfer specialist reports that the Italian club are preparing a new bid for the striker after he agreed to move to the San Siro.
New talks have been scheduled between the clubs and a deal is expected to be completed, seeing Scamacca leave the Hammers after just one season at the club.
“Inter next bid for Gianluca Scamacca will be in the region of €25m and it will could include add-ons, agreement expected to be reached in the next days with West Ham,” he wrote.
“Scamacca has already accepted to join Inter and new round of talks has been scheduled.”
Poor
This has been an absolutely horrendous summer transfer window so far for West Ham and this news only makes it worse.
Scamacca was supposed to be the man to solve our long-winded striker problems from recent seasons, and after starting well injuries and the team’s poor form didn’t help him and he struggled.
He returned from a knee injury in fantastic form in pre-season and looked set for another chance after switching shirt numbers, something many believed pointed to the fact he would be staying in east London.

But he clearly wants to return to Italy and is willing to take whatever the first offer is that gets him out of here. West Ham can’t be bullied into a sale at a bargain price though.
We splashed £30m on him a year ago and need to see the vast majority of that recouped before we agree to sell for it to be worth our while.
Now though the board have yet another position that must be strengthened this month, having so far failed to sign anyone despite losing Declan Rice already. It’s not looking good.
