Gabby Agbonlahor brutally slams West Ham player who’s ‘not good enough’
Gabby Agbonlahor has been left unimpressed by transfer activity at West Ham.
The Hammers have had a poor start to the campaign, despite picking up a first win of the season as West Ham secured a shock 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
This has seen pressure build on Graham Potter, with Jose Mourinho potentially lined up to become West Ham boss in the coming weeks or months.
It is fair to say that the English head coach hasn’t been helped at the London Stadium by the transfer business, despite positivity surrounding Mateus Fernandes’ move from Southampton.
With that being said, Agbonlahor has spoken out against the Irons’ transfer business, which has ultimately hampered their progress.

Gabby Agbonlahor doesn’t rate Niclas Fullkrug
There is no getting away from the troubles that the E20 club have had in the transfer market in recent years, with the squad continuing to get worse year after year.
This was especially the case last summer, where initial excitement quickly dissipated and became frustration before Julen Lopetegui was sacked.
Arguably, the marquee signing of that summer was West Ham’s swoop for Fullkrug at Borussia Dortmund, after featuring in the Champions League final.
Fullkrug has failed to live up to his price tag, netting just three goals in claret and blue, where injury troubles have hampered his spell in the capital.

The 32-year-old’s signing is representative of the issues that Hammers fans are taking issue with, and that hasn’t been lost on Agbonlahor.
Speaking out via talkSPORT on 4 September, he said: “I don’t think it’s about how much you spend, it’s what you spend it on. They’ve signed Niclas Fullkrug for near enough £30million. He runs like he’s got no hips, he can’t get around the pitch.
“Honestly, what a bad signing. Yes, he did well at the EUROs, but he’s not a good enough player for me. That was a strange signing. Other signings they’ve had, Todibo for £32m.”
Alan Brazil shared this annoyance, adding, “Who is signing these people? This is what gets me with modern football.
“Who is buying them? What gives them the expertise to go and spend £30m,£40m, £50m at a time?”
Niclas Fullkrug can’t start for West Ham
After Callum Wilson’s performance against Forest, there is truly no reason why the German should start moving forward under Potter.
There has been a general impact on the side from the ex-Werder Bremen man, despite being famed for his physicality and poacher nature.
Wilson has already managed to come in and show him up and prove exactly where frustration, like Agbonlahor’s, is coming from in East London.
It will be interesting to see how he performs between now and his eventual London Stadium exit, but it feels unlikely that he will suddenly hit the ground running.
