Freddie Potts gives green light for West Ham United exit as talks underway for £10.2m sale

Freddie Potts looks set to become the next player to depart West Ham United this summer.

The Hammers' brutal relegation from the Premier League has come at a heavy price during the transfer window.

Mateus Fernandes was sold to rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £85million to the Hammers.

Crysencio Summerville then departed the London Stadium in a lucrative move to Al-Hilal, which could bank the Hammers £65m.

Nuno Espirito Santo is desperate to start adding reinforcements to his squad with the new Championship campaign on the horizon.

But, for now, it looks like there could be more pain to endure in terms of outgoings with Potts set for a move aboard.

West Ham ace Freddie Potts set for Champions League move

Potts made 22 Premier League appearances last term, 12 of which were as a starter.

The 22-year-old was expected to be a key member of the Hammers' squad this season as they seek an immediate return to the top flight.

However, now it appears a though Potts is set to join a team playing Champions League football next term.

Prominent transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported on X that Club Brugge are in advanced talks with West Ham over a deal that could be worth £10.2million.

Tavolieri added that Potts has given the green light to join the Belgian Pro League champions.

Club Brugge have apparently eyed Potts as a replacement for Raphaël Onyedika, who is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt.

Who else could leave West Ham United this summer?

It is fast becoming an absolutely brutal for West Ham.

Some hope may be on the horizon, with West Ham Zone covering reports that Amanda Staveley is in talks to acquire a stake in West Ham.

But for now there could be more pain to come, with further exits entirely possible.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been linked with moves to both Arsenal and Everton as he seeks to remain in the Premier League.

Jean-Clair Todibo will surely depart given he is out of favour with Nuno anyway.

Others such as Taty Castellanos have also been reportedly angling for a move away during the transfer window.
