Flamengo want to sign West Ham winger Felipe Anderson
Felipe Anderson is demanding a six-figure sum to consider leaving West Ham for a return to his native Brazil, according to Coluna do Fla.
The Brazilian news outlet, with over 470,000 followers on their verified Twitter profile, claims the 28-year-old wants R$1.2million (£171,000) to make the move back to his homeland, where he made his name for Santos at the start of his career. They also cite journalist Julio Miguel Neto, who reported interest in Anderson on Saturday [19/06/21].
Coluna do Fla, who specialise in news regarding Brazilian giants Flamengo, have reported that their dedicated club are “monitoring” the winger who was bought by former Irons boss Manuel Pellegrini in 2018.

Anderson is not in West Ham’s plans, per the report, and thus a return to Brazil is “on the agenda”.
Santos have also enquired as to his availability, but their president Andres Rueda ruled out a move due to financial issues.
Flamengo, meanwhile, are said to have “money in their coffers” after recent investment and the expected £17.1million sale of Gerson to Marseille.

Time’s up
Anderson’s signing was a big statement of intent by the club in 2018, and while he started well, events have taken a downturn at a rapid rate.
After scoring nine Premier League goals in his first season for the Irons, Anderson has scored just one since. That means he has just one Premier League goal since May 2019.
He spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Portuguese giants Porto, but he failed to catch fire there, making just 10 appearances, of which only five were in the league.
With the likes of Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini and Jarrod Bowen firmly entrenched in the pecking order ahead of him, Anderson’s Irons future looks bleak.
It would be in the best interests of all parties for him to move on, particularly as we try and secure Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal.
In other West Ham news, a £17.1million bid could be enough to prise this Euro 2020 star away from his club.
