Flamengo decision due on Fabricio Bruno as West Ham United in final stages of transfer talks

Flamengo are set to make a final decision on Fabricio Bruno’s move to West Ham United on Thursday, according to Fabricio Lopes.

Writing on his personal X account (22 May), the Brazilian journalist reports that the 28-year-old is close to a move to the London Stadium this summer with negotiations in the “final phase”.

Reports suggest that Bruno could have two more games to play for his current club before a move to east London, but Flamengo will make a decision on that on Thursday with the Hammers looking to seal a deal quickly for the Brazil international.

“And this may have been Fabrício Bruno’s last game for Flamengo,” he wrote.

“Tomorrow [Thursday 23 May] Flamengo will define whether the player will be available to Tite on Tuesday or whether he will be available to West Ham. Negotiations are in the final phase.”

Tim Steidten with a brilliant start to the West Ham transfer window

There is going to be a lot of transfer business done at the London Stadium this summer, with a host of exits and incoming expected.

Steidten’s trip to Brazil seems to have been a successful one with a move for Bruno all but done at this point, as well as a bid being made for Wesley Gassova.

The club have also made a move for defender Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahce, while there is interest in players like Victor Boniface, Oliver Arblaster and Wilfried Zaha too.

The club are clearly making their moves nice and early to bring some stability to the club, with Julen Lopetegui set to come in and replace David Moyes as manager too.

There are big expectations for next season, but there will be a period of time where adaptation is needed so the earlier business gets done the better for everyone.
