Nayef Aguerd exit stance emerges amid £16.8m West Ham transfer news
West Ham United ace Nayef Aguerd is yet to give his green light to a move to Al-Ittihad, according to Ben Jacobs.
The Give Me Sport journalist reported via X (30 August) that Al-Ittihad are still trying to sign the central defender on a loan deal which includes an obligation to make the transfer permanent for £16.8million.
Fiorentina are also interested in Aguerd.
West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd to quit the London Stadium?
Time is running out for Aguerd to secure his move away from the London Stadium.
It is clear that he is not in manager Julen Lopetegui’s first-team plans at that club. Therefore, if the 28-year-old wants to play consistently next season, he must make a move before 11 pm on Friday (30 August).
However, while securing a transfer is crucial, it is also important that he picks the right club. Luckily for Aguerd, it appears as though he has a wealth of options available to him.
He could remain in the Premier League, with Wolves interested in his signature (via The Guardian, 11:08 am, 29 August), while there is also interest from various Spanish clubs, including Real Sociedad (via Santi Aouna, 29 August).
Then there is the money-spinning move to Saudi Arabia, while Fiorentina have also stepped forward.
Aguerd has plenty to consider, but not much time to do it, and West Ham will no doubt be keen to get any outgoing transfer progressed swiftly.
In other West Ham news, the club are in active talks to unlock an improved bid for Carlos Soler.
