FC Twente keep eye on West Ham ace Divin Mubama as they wait for last-gasp transfer green light
FC Twente remain interested in a loan move for West Ham striker Divin Mubama, with the Eredivisie club set to make a final decision before deadline day, according to Voetbal Primeur.
The Dutch football news outlet reported on 31 January that Mubama currently represents a backup option if they cannot land a deal for Monaco’s Myron Boadu.
Twente are set to make a decision within the next 48 hours on which striker to pursue before the transfer deadline as, if they cannot find an agreement with Monaco, their full focus will move to Mubama.
Fingers crossed
It has become apparent that Mubama won’t be afforded much game time outside of late cameo appearances, so if a potential loan move to Europe opens up before the end of the window, it would be a fantastic opportunity for the 19-year-old.
A move to go and hone his craft in the Netherlands, and hopefully with a return to East London in mind, would be ideal for Mubama who has moved past the stage of youth football and will be looking to play regularly in a top division.
Championship loans had previously been mooted for the striker, but nothing materialised, so going to learn in the Eredivisie would be the best option for his career to progress at this stage.

With just six months remaining on his current contract at the London Stadium, albeit with the option of an additional year at the end, speculation has been rife about the future of the talented youngster, but hopefully, he can get some senior experience and come back to claim a place in the side.
