Fabrizio Romano shares fresh update on Jarrod Bowen’s West Ham United future

Fabrizio Romano believes there is nothing going on with Jarrod Bowen at West Ham right now and he will stay at the club this summer.

Bowen turned in the best season of his career in 2021/22 and earned a maiden England squad call up, which has seen him linked with a move to Arsenal.

But while the speculation is rife, Romano told his CaughtOffside substack that there has been no offer and even if there was, West Ham don’t want to sell.

West Ham

“There’s been increased speculation surrounding Jarrod Bowen in recent days, so I thought I’d clear things up with my understanding of the situation,” he said.

“There are no Arsenal offers for Jarrod Bowen so far. The winger has always been highly regarded by many top clubs but I’m not sure West Ham want to lose a key player like him.

“For now, nothing is happening, and it wouldn’t be an easy negotiation.”

Done

In case there was any doubt about whether Bowen would be at the club or not, there shouldn’t be now. Bowen is going nowhere.

He was the club’s best player last season and has come on leaps and bounds with his goals and assists and become a really key player in the attack for David Moyes.

It’s only normal that the club would receive interest for him such is his profile and age, but West Ham rightfully have no interest in letting him go and that should be the end of that.

It would take an astronomical fee to even consider with reports of a £75m asking price and the player is happy at the London Stadium, so this “saga” should be over and done with now.

Bowen is a Hammer and will lead the line this season, so Gunners fans should forget about it even nearly happening. He’s going nowhere and that’s the way it’s staying.
