Fabrizio Romano predicts Mohammed Kudus exit amid West Ham United speculation
Mohammed Kudus could be set to leave Ajax this summer amid interest from West Ham, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported on 17 August that the Hammers remain interested in the Ghana international and that talks are taking place with the Dutch giants.
He said the Irons are eyeing a move for the 23-year-old forward in preparation for the potential exit of Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta to Manchester City.

“West Ham remain interested and talks are taking place for the Kudus deal, but it’s especially for if Paqueta leaves to join Manchester City,” said Romano.
“It will depend on the bids, but I think there is a chance for Kudus to leave Ajax before the end of the window.”
Smart
It’s a smart move by West Ham to try and get a deal in place for Kudus as there’s a good chance Paqueta could leave to join Man City in the next couple of weeks.
They don’t want to be caught out again like they were after selling Declan Rice, with clubs hiking their prices up for midfielders after learning how much the Hammers had to spend.
Romano revealed that London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal have both shown an interest in signing the Ghanaian recentlly, but that the last contact with the player was “weeks ago” as they look to have moved on to other targets.

The winger is highly rated after his time in Amsterdam, where he has scored 24 goals and laid on 11 assists in 85 appearances since joining from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in 2020.
Kudus looks set to build on his impressive 18-goal tally from last season, having scored in Ajax’s opening-day victory over Heracles on 12 August, so he is a player we should be putting increased effort into signing this summer.
In other West Ham news, agents are at work to unlock a player’s potential exit from the club.
