West Ham submitted another bid to secure the services of Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus in the last 24 hours, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The journalist reported on Tuesday (22 August) that the offer had been turned down by the Dutch side for the Ghana international, 23.

The offer was understood to be worth £35.8million and now the Hammers need to decide if they will still continue the pursuit.

Via Twitter, Romano wrote, "Understand West Ham have submitted new formal bid for Mohammed Kudus in last 24h — worth €42m package. Ajax have rejected the proposal out of hand. No intention to accept at those conditions.West Ham will now decide if they want to leave the table as there’s no agreement."

Make some moves

The Hammers desperately need a player like Kudus in their ranks this season and must not give up the chase.

The Ghana international is someone who's wanted to leave the club for the past few seasons and it's evident that he's not happy at Ajax.

Hopefully, the Hammers can reach an agreement soon with Ajax as personal terms are unlikely to be an issue for him.

West Ham

He can perform as a striker, number 10 and right winger and is also capable of playing as a number eight.

He's the kind of player David Moyes will love and he perhaps will be the one pushing in order to secure his services.

West Ham have already left things pretty late in the market and hopefully, they step up their pursuit to make another signing.
