Fabrizio Romano issues twist on West Ham United ace Luis Guilherme exit

Fabrizio Romano claims that Luis Guilherme can leave West Ham in the January transfer window.

The transfer guru stated that Al Hilal have made initial contact to be informed on developments surrounding the 18-year-old midfielder.

However, no official proposal has been made yet for Guilherme, who joined the Hammers in the summer for £25million, per the Times.

Romano wrote on X: “Brazilian talent Luis Guilherme can leave West Ham for Saudi Pro League this month, as interest is genuine.

“Al Hilal made initial contact to be informed on deal conditions, no proposal yet.”

West Ham must ensure they avoid making a loss on Luis Guilherme

The Hammers must strategically manage the potential exit of Guilherme to ensure they either break even or make a profit on their £25 million investment.

Given the Brazilian’s young age and high potential, the club have a golden opportunity to leverage these attributes to negotiate a higher transfer fee.

At just 18, Guilherme represents a long-term investment with significant upside, making him attractive to clubs like Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League who are looking to bolster their squads with young, promising talent.

His performances, even if limited, have shown enough to suggest he could develop into a top player, which the Hammers could bring up in negotiations.

The interest from Al Hilal, despite no formal bid yet, indicates there’s room to push for a fee that not only covers the initial outlay but potentially includes lucrative add-ons based on future achievements.

Given the heavy financial outlay, it would be catastrophic for the club to make a loss on him after such a short time.
