Fabricio Bruno salary claim emerges as £11.3m West Ham United bid accepted for new transfer

West Ham are set to offer a higher salary to Flamengo defender Fabricio Bruno in order to sign him this summer, according to Julio Miguel Neto.

The Rubro News TV journalist took to X on 26 July to claim that the Brazilian outfit have already accepted a 11.3million bid from the Hammers for the 28-year-old.

The Brazil international rejected the first offer made by the London club but they’re not giving up the chase.

Neto wrote: “Being one of Flamengo’s greatest highlights in recent years, defender Fabrício Bruno continues to attract the attention of the European market.

“After the player refused West Ham’s first proposal, the English club still wants to count on the athlete and promises to make a new offer to Flamengo, offering a higher salary for Fabrício.

“It is worth remembering that the first proposal from the London club was 13.5 million euros, an amount accepted by Flamengo. Rennes (FRA) is also interested in signing the player, but has not yet started negotiations with Rubro-Negro.”

West Ham must act quickly as Rennes may look to prise Fabricio Bruno away

The Hammers must act quickly to secure the signing of Bruno, as the French side are also interested in the Brazilian defender.

Rennes have not yet started negotiations with Flamengo, but their interest could escalate the competition for his signature.

Bruno’s refusal of West Ham’s initial offer indicates that he is open to considering other options.

The Ligue 1 side could potentially outbid the Hammers or offer more attractive terms, making it crucial for the Hammers to present a compelling new offer promptly.

Bruno’s potential addition to the Irons could significantly bolster their defence and that’s why they must prioritise signing him.

His experience and success at Flamengo demonstrate his ability to perform at a high level.

As a versatile defender capable of playing on the right or left side of the central defence, Bruno could provide much-needed depth and quality to the backline.
