ExWHUemployee: West Ham won’t be signing Matheus Pereira
ExWHUemployee does not see West Ham signing West Brom star Matheus Pereira amid speculation strongly linking the Brazilian with a move to Al Hilal.
Sky Sports Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Pereira, 25, is closing in on a move to Al Hilal while Arab News reporter Wael Jabir has reported the Baggies attacker is set to join the Saudi Arabian outfit.
When asked if the Hammers have failed to sign Pereira, reliable insider ExWHUemployee said on Twitter: “I don’t think he is going to join us at this point, no.”
Anyone left?
Jesse Lingard does not look as though he’ll be coming back to the London Stadium and now our back-up option looks set to chase the money and head to Saudi Arabia.
Pereira was brilliant for the Baggies last season despite them suffering delegation from the Premier League.
He scored 11 goals and supplied six assists last term for the Midlands club, who are no doubt desperate for cash after dropping into the Championship.
Pereira’s sale will probably kickstart their summer business with the Championship season starting this week. But what about West Ham? When is our business going to start?
Alphonse Areola is the only new addition this summer and we didn’t really need a new goalkeeper – it’s more a pre-emptive move than what for the upcoming season.
We need players in so many outfield positions.
This is starting to become a joke.
In other West Ham news, the Irons have turned their attention to signing this centre-back after failing to land Kurt Zouma.
