Evan Ferguson medical booked at West Ham in huge update – Dharmesh Sheth
West Ham have agreed a loan deal to sign Evan Ferguson from Brighton, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports journalist reported on 2 February that the Republic of Ireland international is set to travel to London on Sunday afternoon (2 February) for his medical.
This comes after the Irons agreed a deal for a straight loan switch until the end of the season with Brighton for the 20-year-old striker.
Evan Ferguson to undergo medical at West Ham
It has been little secret throughout the winter window that Graham Potter wants to bring the Seagulls forward to the London Stadium.
The English head coach worked with the highly-rated youngster during his spell as manager at the Amex and the duo could now be set to link up again.
This will come as a huge boost to the Hammers who have issues in forward areas as injuries have ravaged through the East London club.
This has seen the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug all ruled out, leaving Danny Ings as the only recognised senior striker available for the Irons.
Now there is finally set to be a new number nine available at the London Stadium as Ferguson prepares to undergo medical tests.
This comes just one day after he made his first appearance in six weeks for Brighton during their 7-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest on Saturday (1 February).
