Dharmesh Sheth shares when West Ham United expect to complete Max Kilman signing

West Ham United could complete a deal to sign Max Kilman from Wolves as early as this weekend, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports reporter has suggested (5 July) that the Englishman is expected to complete a medical today (5 July) and agree personal terms.

There is “cautious optimism” that a deal can be fully completed and signed off by the Hammers and Wolves this weekend.

The clubs are currently “finalising terms” after a fee worth in the region of £40 million was agreed for the defender.

West Ham move closer to signing Max Kilman

The Hammers look set to confirm their second signing of the summer having already brought in Luis Guilherme from Palmerias.

Kilman was a player who David Moyes showed an interest in but never acted on that, now it seems a deal is being pushed over the line.

With Julen Lopetegui in charge and having worked with the defender before in his time with Wolves, it is a deal that makes sense.

After trying to sign Fabricio Bruno on his trip to Brazil, it seems that Tim Steidten’s attentions have turned to the new head coach’s demands.

Although £40m does seem like a large fee for a 27-year-old, there are many positive aspects to Kilman which could prove to make him worth it.

The Englishman is positive with the ball at his feet but also has the technical ability to play out from the back in Lopetegui’s potential system.

A deal for the centre-back looks set to be completed with an announcement coming as early as the weekend, something for Hammers fans to be excited about.
