Dean Jones: Wolves move for Danny Ings ‘difficult’ due to ‘unbelievable’ West Ham United contract
It would be difficult for Wolves to sign Danny Ings this month due to his “unbelievable” contract at West Ham United.
That is according to GIVEMESPORT journalist Dean Jones, who reports that Ings is on £150,000-a-week in East London.
Ings has been handed just over 400 minutes of playing time by David Moyes this season, and is yet to score from his 18 appearances.

“I can understand Wolves’ interest in Ings,” Jones told GIVEMESPORT (12 January). “I think he’s probably quite a good fit for O’Neil, certainly a better fit than he ever has been at West Ham.
“But, my big concern around whether it can happen would come down to the wages of this one. Ings made himself one of the top earners at West Ham when he went into the club. He earns towards £150,000 per week, from what I’m told. Given Wolves’ situation recently, seeing them taking him on anything like those terms would be difficult.
“So, while I think that it’s best for everybody that Ings does make a move this month, and I believe that he probably will end up getting a transfer, it’ll be interesting to see how you try to get around the terms because he does have such an unbelievable agreement at the moment.”

On the move?
Ings seems destined to leave the London Stadium this month, but his destination remains up in the air. The former Burnley, Southampton, Aston Villa and Liverpool striker is wasting away in East London, with an exit certainly the best option for player and club.
Hammers manager Moyes has barely given the 31-year-old a look-in this season, which is very surprising given how the club have been competing in several different competitions.
The man in the dugout has instead relied on the likes of Michail Antonio and Divin Mubama, with Jarrod Bowen getting the nod centrally amid the absence of the former, who has been out injured.
That decision from Moyes speaks volumes, and should really ignite Ings to force through a move in January before the deadline arrives.
He may be 31, but the striker can still be a reliable source of goals for a club struggling in the final third, whether that be in the Premier League or elsewhere.
In other West Ham news, a Fulham update has emerged in a Hammers bid to sign a new defender.
