Dean Jones moots West Ham United exits for Ben Johnson and Danny Ings, January transfers on cards
Ben Johnson and Danny Ings are likely to leave West Ham United, according to GIVEMESPORT journalist Dean Jones.
The journalist has mooted London Stadium exits for both players in the upcoming transfer window, which opens in England on 1 January.
Johnson has made just three senior appearances this season, with Ings featuring for just 408 minutes in all competitions.

“He’s not getting many minutes and I think Ben Johnson is somebody that is available,” Jones told GIVEMESPORT. “He’s one of the ones that was mentioned to me as, if the price is right, or if the move is right, then they would definitely consider allowing him to go.
“So, certainly something to look out for. I think there are a few players that might have links within the Football League. As well as Johnson, I’d say Danny Ings is somebody that will probably end up leaving.
“Again, interest from the Championship and Danny Ings, that’s going to grow. And it makes sense because these players can go into a Championship side and make a real difference.”

Exits on the cards?
It would certainly make sense for Johnson and Ings to exit the London Stadium sooner rather than later. Both have struggled massively for game time under David Moyes in recent times, which does seem strange given how the Hammers have been competing in various competitions.
West Ham fans have perhaps been left baffled by the decision from the man in the dugout to constantly overlook the duo, with Johnson and Ings regularly among the substitutes in the Premier League, EFL Cup and Europa League.
Johnson is only 23 years old, and should be forcing through an exit at this important stage of his brief career so far. Ings meanwhile is 31, and undoubtedly still has the ability to score goals and massively help out a struggling club.
It remains to be seen, however, what Moyes has in store for the defender and the striker, with both featuring in the EFL Cup defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday (20 December).
In other West Ham news, Daniel Sturridge and Roy Keane were in agreement over an incident in the recent win against Wolves, with a “WWE” verdict shared.
