David Moyes reaction shared by ExWHUemployee as West Ham United offered two forwards for January
West Ham have been offered two strikers for the January window but David Moyes is likely to stick with his current squad, says ExWHUemployee.
The Hammer signed eight first-team players in the summer window including striker Gianluca Scamacca, but have been poor all season and find themselves outside of the relegation zone only on goal difference.
But speaking on his podcast via Patreon (2 January), Ex believes that the manager is happy with his squad and is unlikely to make any big moves during the winter window despite the club being offered striker options.

“In terms of signings a couple of forwards have been offered to West Ham,” he said. “I don’t know how true this is but David Moyes is apparently not keen on the ones who have been offered.
“I think if we can get a good deal for Brereton-Diaz at Blackburn we might look at him. I’ve also mentioned Thuram at Gladbach possibly, but at the moment it appears that Moyes is going to stick with the squad he has.
“Try not to sell anyone and won’t be bringing in too many players unless an absolute bargain or top quality player can be obtained.”
Backed
It cannot be argued anymore that Moyes has not been backed as manager of West Ham, and this squad is currently already good enough to be doing far better than it is.
Moyes got basically everything he wanted in the summer and has returned the club absolutely nothing back, leading us to a relegation battle after £170m worth of investment on a team that was in a European semi-final earlier this year.

Signing more players doesn’t fix the problems we have, because the issue is currently the way Moyes is using his squad and that won’t change unless he does.
Scamacca and Antonio are both more than capable of performing in the Premier League if given the tools and service to do so with the players around them, so the board are right in this instance not to plough more cash into the situation.
Moyes needs to fix things himself with his own approach, or the club must find someone who can get more from these players than he can.
