David Moyes open to Holland loan exit from West Ham in January – report

David Moyes is open to letting Nathan Holland leave the London Stadium on loan in January following the West Ham youngster’s return to full fitness, according to Claret and Hugh.

The 22-year-old is yet to kick a ball this season after picking up an injury in the summer.

But after recovering from that knock, Moyes is reportedly looking to send Holland out on loan again to continue his development.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Oxford United where he featured 12 times and wrote himself into Us history with a goal in the FA Cup.

Holland scored an injury-time leveller against Newcastle United to complete an unlikely comeback after Oxford found themselves 2-0 down to the Premier League side.

The Us went on to lose the match but Holland’s strike will live long in the memory of many Oxford fans.

Holland is viewed as a top prospect at the London Stadium and he managed to break into the Hammers’ Premier League side on two occasions last season, making his senior debut in December’s loss to Wolves at Molineux.

Another loan spell would do no harm to Holland’s development though it would be expected that he is loaned to a Championship club this term after impressing in League One last season.

Hopefully, he can gain valuable experience this season and be an asset to the West Ham first team when he returns.

In other West Ham news, we believe the Hammers dodged a very expensive bullet this summer.
