David Moyes must get rid of West Ham United winger Manuel Lanzini

West Ham attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini has been linked with a move to Turkish club Besiktas, and the Hammers must offload him this summer.

According to a report from Turkish media outlet, Fanatik (9 July), the Argentine winger has been targeted by the Turkish giants.

The 29-year-old is valued at around £10 million, and there is a possibility that he can be signed at an affordable price.

Lanzini has only a year left on his present deal and this gives the Hammers the perfect opportunity to cash in on him.

The attacking midfielder joined the Hammers in 2015 initially on loan from Al Jazira, and later made the move permanent.

He has made over 200 appearances for the club in all competitions, where he managed 29 goals.

The last season was probably his best in a long time, where managed 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals.

An intelligent midfielder capable of playing behind the striker and on the left, Laznini has lost the spark in his game, which he showed when he joined the club.

There were games last season where he simply failed to make any impact. The driving runs into the box or clever passes from behind or maybe coming up with moments of sublime brilliance were absent from his game.

With his contract approaching near its end, it’s high time the club sell him and get a proper replacement in place.

Lanzini was never a great scoring midfielder, but his overall dominance in midfield has waned in recent years. It’s time to let him go.
