David Moyes likes Axel Tuanzebe, West Ham could sign him on loan
West Ham manager David Moyes is a fan of Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe and a loan-to-buy deal could be on the cards, according to ExWHUemployee.
On Monday, ESPN reported that Tuanzebe, 23, wants to leave Old Trafford on loan for the season in order to earn more first-team minutes.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly hold talks with the former England Under-21 international once players report to pre-season training but it seems West Ham are a club who are willing to take the centre-back with the view to a permanent deal in the future.

“Speaking of Manchester United, it’s been confirmed their defender Axel Tuanzebe is available on loan,” ExWHUemployee said on the West Ham Way podcast on Patreon.
“Now I do know that David Moyes likes him so he could be someone who we potentially look to loan with a clause to buy if we don’t get our other targets.”
Strength in depth
West Ham’s centre-back options are not the worst in the Premier League after Moyes worked his magic on them to get them performing well again.
Aaron Cresswell has looked steady on the left-hand side of the back-three while Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop have also had impressive spells.
Fabian Balbuena has left and we could do with a replacement for him and Tuanzebe, on loan, could be a good one.
However, would the Man United fringe player be interested in a move to the London Stadium if he knows he’s not going to be high up in Moyes’ pecking order?
We doubt that Moyes would sign him and start him above the likes of Dawson and Ogbonna and Tuanzebe is bound to know that too, even if the Hammers boss is a big fan of his.
However, the chance to make the deal permanent could be one that interests Tuanzebe, especially if favourable terms are on the table for him.
Tuanzebe played just 19 times in all competitions for Man United last season and only nine of those appearances came in the Premier League.
In October, he was dubbed as “fantastic” by Solskjaer after playing a vital role in Man United’s 2-1 win against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League [Planet Football].
We’ll have to wait and see how this develops but ExWHUemployee suggests that there could be other targets ahead of him on Moyes’ wishlist.
In other West Ham news, the Irons have made a loan bid for this international striker.
