Danny Ings exit update emerges at West Ham United as Irons eye summer striker signing
West Ham United will listen to offers for Danny Ings when the summer transfer window opens at the London Stadium, according to the Evening Standard.
The outlet reported on its website on Tuesday (21 May) that the Hammers are open to offers for the former England international as they prepare to make changes to their frontline come the end of the season.
However, the former Southampton star’s £125,000-a-week wages could put potential suitors off of acting upon their interest, with the striker’s wages a potential stumbling block for any deal.
Despite this, the Irons know that they simply have to address their long-standing striker problem during the summer after Jarrod Bowen finished as their top goalscorer.

It has been clear for some time that Ings’ time as a West Ham player could well be coming to an end as the former England international has never managed to hit the heights expected of him in a claret and blue shirt.
The 31-year-old was never a David Moyes-style striker as he was much more interested in operating within the penalty area than he was in dropping deep and holding up the ball in a manner often shown by Michail Antonio.
In 20 Premier League appearances this term, the former England international only managed a single goal. While he didn’t exactly play often, he hasn’t shown enough quality to justify being paid such a high wage.
You would like to think that Ings would be desperate to play regular first-team football and would therefore be willing to take a pay cut to ensure a summer exit, but while he is under contract he is mre than entitled to remain a Hammer.
Hopefully, a solution can be found for all parties quickly this summer, that way Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten can reinvest any fee earned back into the squad and spend those wages on a more reliable number nine.
