Daniel Cummings to West Ham: New Celtic offer revealed on Deadline Day

West Ham United have to bid £750,000 to sign Daniel Cummings from Celtic, according to Ben Jacobs.

Speaking live on talkSPORT, the journalist reported that the Irons have had a £500,000 bid rejected by the Hoops for the 18-year-old striker.

However, the East London outfit can acquire the Scot’s services before the transfer window closes at 11 pm on Monday (3 February) if they increase their offer by 50 per cent.

“Daniel Cummings [is] on their radar as well – the young Celtic striker – but an offer from West Ham has been rejected, £500,000”, Jacobs said on talkSPORT (3 February, 8:51 am).

“£750,000 is the number I’ve been given that might get that over the line.”

West Ham to sign three strikers on deadline day?

West Ham have been looking to sign a new centre-forward all summer and incidentally could now sign three of them in the final hours of the transfer window.

Evan Ferguson is all but a Hammers player having successfully completed his medical [Sky Sports], while negotiations over a deal for Cummings seemingly continue.

However, Ferguson will return to Brighton when his loan deal expires at the end of the season and Cummings, 18, is one for the future.

This means the East London outfit are also looking at signing a striker who could lead the line for Graham Potter’s side immediately and for the years to come.

Therefore, they have been credited with an interest in signing Eli Junior Kroupi from Lorient.

West Ham have made an offer worth over £35million to sign the France Under-19s international, according to Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, Potter’s side have also reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to cut short James Ward-Prowse’s loan deal and bring him back to the London Stadium [David Ornstein].
