Craig Dawson could ‘definitely’ leave West Ham United in January if things fall into place
Craig Dawson could “definitely” leave West Ham in the January window if things fall into place, as reported by journalist Steve Madeley.
The 32-year-old defender has been targeted by Wolves this month who failed to sign him during the summer.
The Atheltic journalist shared on Twitter (10 January) that “nothing imminent” but “definitely” the move could happen if everything falls into place.
“As mentioned in this piece over Christmas, Craig Dawson is a possible target for Wolves this month, having nearly signed in the summer. Nothing imminent but definitely one that could happen if things fall into place at both clubs,” wrote Madeley on Twitter.
Exit likely
Ideally, David Moyes would love to keep Dawson at the club, but a move cannot be completely ruled out at this stage.
He has only six months left in his contract, and it is the last chance for the club to get some money by selling him.
Dawson has made eight starts in the Premier League this season, and he has been one of the most consistent performers for the club.
Last season, he was outstanding and played a vital role during the absence of Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma.

Dawson wants to leave the club for family reasons, and West Ham should respect that. But, Moyes would love to get a replacement first.
In theory, the Hammers should be able to manage even if Dawson leaves. Moyes will still have Nayef Aguerd, Thilo Kehrer, and Zouma as options, but another defender is probably required.
It looks unlikely that the Hammers will sign any defender permanently this month and could only look to sign players on loan.
