Clubs queue up to sign Callum Marshall after West Ham United debut v Bristol City
Clubs are queuing up to sign West Ham United on loan striker Callum Marshall, according to manager David Moyes.
The Hammers boss made the comment after the Northern Ireland international made his first team debut against Bristol City.
The 19-year-old was an 80th-minute substitute as West Ham lost 1-0 to Bristol City in an FA Cup third round replay on Tuesday (16 January).

As transcribed by The Athletic journalist Roshane Thomas (X, 16 January), Moyes said: “I’ve been really impressed with Callum.
“There are so many teams who want him on loan. We want to help him the right way. He’s a great lad and a lover of football which I like.”

Exit likely
It seems likely that helping Marshall in the right way involves sending the youngster on loan in the January transfer window.
There is unsurprisingly plenty of excitement surrounding the teenager following his first team debut, but perhaps the best option for player and club is to allow him to develop elsewhere until the end of the season.
Marshall has been scoring goals for fun in the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy, but now it seems that the time has come for the striker to test himself in senior football.
There is, however, a chance that he could remain in East London given the current striker situation at West Ham. Michail Antonio has been injured for quite some time, while the likes of Danny Ings and Divin Mubama have not been given many opportunities by Moyes.
Their lack of game time has resulted in questions being asked about their futures, with a spot potentially opening up for Marshall if they were to exit the London Stadium.
