Clause emerges as West Ham United want to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Adam Hlozek
West Ham United want to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Adam Hlozek this summer to bolster their attack, according to BILD.
Writing on their website (24 June), the German news outlet report that the forward could leave the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal winners after falling down the pecking order under Xabi Alonso.
But while previous reports suggested £12million could get a deal done, it has now emerged that Leverkusen agreed a 30% sell-on clause with Sparta Prague when they signed him in 2022 which could drive the price up more.
West Ham United have history with Adam Hlozek
Ever since Daniel Kretinsky bough a share in the Hammers the club have been linked with bringing in Hlozek, with talks taking place last summer too.
However, a deal has never quite materialised, but with Julen Lopetegui looking to put his stamp on the forward line at the London Stadium and with Hlozek not favoured at Leverkusen currently it could be the perfect time for it to finally happen.
Michail Antonio is wanted by clubs in the MLS and Saudi [Athletic, 15 May], and Danny Ings is a target for Southampton [talkSPORT, 28 May], leaving their futures at the club up in the air.

Several attackers have been linked with a move to east London too with the likes of Callum Wilson [Chronicle Live, 22 June], Jonathan David [iNews, 19 June] and Youssef En-Nesyri [Fichajes, 22 May] and most recently Dominic Calvert-Lewin [Chronicle Live, 24 June].
There are clearly plenty of people on the shortlist and the Hammers are working hard to bring someone in, and it’s just a case of what deal they can agree first, so this is one to watch.
In other West Ham news, the club are looking to hijack a PSG deal for one “unbelievable” attacker.
