Chelsea have been scouting West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen
Chelsea have been scouting West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen as the London club look to add to their attacking options according to journalist Rob Pratley.
90min reported on 2 June that Chelsea are interested in the West Ham winger who is contracted to the club until the summer of 2025.
However, Pratley, who is the sub-editor of the ChelsSocial and has done bits of work for BBC Sport, revealed (via Twitter, 30 July) that the London club have been scouting Bowen and Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes.
Unlikely
This is most likely a little bit of Twitter gossip with West Ham very unlikely to part with the England man any time soon.
It was understood that the Hammers were due to offer Bowen a new deal at the start of June, however that has yet to materialise.
The club should make keeping the winger at the London Stadium for the long-term their priority.
With the addition of Gianluca Scamacca up front, Bowen could easily match his attacking output from the 2021/22 season.

Bowen could use the Italy international as a good platform to play off of, much like he did in the 2021/22 season with Michail Antonio.
Furthermore, the striker will always be an option for Bowen to pick out in the box and rack up a similar amount of assists.
Hammers fans will be eager for the club to show some intent and keep their star men at the club.
West Ham’s business has certainly laid down a marker over the club’s ambitions for the future.
Let’s hope the incomings at the London Stadium mean the likes of Bowen and Rice commit their futures to the Hammers long-term.
