Carlos Soler transfer: PSG renew West Ham talks amid £16.9m loan development
West Ham United have renewed talks with PSG over a permanent transfer for Carlos Soler, according to L’Equipe.
The French outlet reported via its website on Sunday (19 January) that the Ligue 1 side have expected the Hammers to activate their £16.9m buy clause for the 28-year-old for a long time.
The Spain international’s future at the London Stadium may be negatively impacted by the departure of Julen Lopetegui earlier in January.
Despite this, the Parisians have renewed talks with the East London outfit over a permanent deal, which the ex-Valencia man would welcome if an agreement is reached.
West Ham enter Carlos Soler talks with PSG
The midfielder has proved to be a useful signing for the Irons since joining on a temporary deal from the French capital in the summer.
His addition did appear to be a Lopetegui signing, more than a Tim Steidten addition, which could point towards his exit now the ex-Real Madrid boss is gone.
With that being said, since Graham Potter’s arrival the PSG ace has featured in all three games and has even gotten on the scoresheet.
There is every chance that Soler has impressed the English head coach in limited time since he was hired and a permanent deal could be pushed forward.

Given that the Ligue 1 side are only demanding a fee of £16.9m for the man with over 220 appearances for Valencia, the Hammers could get themselves a bargain.
With the current state of the transfer market, signing a full international with heaps of European experience could represent a smart deal in East London.
