Carlos Soler to West Ham: Permanent transfer agreement wanted now
West Ham midfielder Carlos Soler could join the club permanently with Paris Saint Germain seeking an agreement already, according to Daily Mail Sports.
The newspaper reported in its print edition (page 5, 20 January), that the French side want an agreement to be reached for the loan star.
L’Equipe shared on 19 January that the Parisians have expected the Irons to meet his £16.9million buy clause for a long time.
The Spanish midfielder has appeared in 17 Premier League matches so far this season, scoring one goal and notching one assist.
Will West Ham push for Carlos Soler permanent stay?
The former Valencia man was more likely a Julen Lopetegui signing rather than a Tim Steidten one, which may have left him fearing for his future at the London Stadium once his compatriot was sacked.
However, the 28-year-old has featured in all three matches under new boss Graham Potter, even scoring in the 3-2 win over Fulham on 14 January.
It would not be unfathomable if the Hammers accelerated a permanent deal given his recent performances in East London.

The fact that the Ligue 1 side are only demanding a fee of £16.9m for an experienced midfielder means that it makes sense for the Irons to make a move.
Soler already knows the club and is a full Spanish international, the deal is a no-brainer in a transfer market where fees are so often over-inflated.
Potter would then have the funds to sort out other positions such as defence and probably the most pressing need bringing in a striker.
